Bill K. Kapri, aka Florida rapper Kodak Black, released from jail earlier today, Saturday, August 18, according to local ABC affiliate WPLGreports. He was serving time in Broward County Jail on probation violation charges of driving with a suspended license and associating with people engaged in criminal activity. In July, reports surfaced that Kodak’s sentence was shortened after the judge granted a motion from Kodak’s lawyers to recognize 30 additional days of time-served for Kodak.
Kodak was indicted on unrelated sexual assault charges in October 2017 and is currently awaiting trial. Kodak legally changed his name to Bill K. Kapri in May; he was born Dieuson Octave.
